Terschelling
Terschelling's Groene Strand (Green Beach) is the perfect spot! With shallow and calm water, you'll learn kitesurfing quickly and safely.

Terschelling offers several kitesurfing spots on the North Sea and at Groene Strand. At Groene Strand, you can only kite at high tide. At low tide, the sand flat is too dry. On the North Sea, you are not dependent on the tide and can enjoy great waves and downwinders with good wind. Always pay close attention to the current.
Want to learn kitesurfing independently? Then choose our week-long course of 10+ hours spread over several days. You'll learn in various conditions, from strong to light winds. Ideal for quickly building all-round skills.
Groene Strand is perfect for learning: shallow, few waves, and minimal current. Perfect for beginners! Kites are launched on the beach, not on the small grassy area near beach bar De Walvis.
